These terms govern the use of SmartShopper and its related services. Your use of the app must comply with these terms and mandatory applicable law.
SmartShopper is intended for users aged 13 and over. Where required by the law of your country, you need permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the app, create an account, or purchase a paid subscription. Where personal data processing relies on consent and you are below the age at which you can give valid consent independently in your country, consent must be given or authorized by a parent or legal guardian. Accepting these terms does not replace any required parental or guardian permission.
SmartShopper provides shopping lists, receipt archiving, spending tracking, digital loyalty cards, and gift voucher tracking. Some features require an account, an internet connection, or a paid subscription. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, protecting your login credentials, and having the right to use the content you add.
Lists you share can be viewed and edited by people you authorize. Review personal or sensitive information, including information belonging to others, before sharing it.
AI receipt scanning may produce incorrect or incomplete results. Check amounts, products, dates, payment method, and currency before saving. Analytics and warranty or return reminders are for information only; they do not replace official accounting records, financial or legal advice, or commitments made by a seller. Keep your original receipts and documents, and confirm the applicable warranty and return conditions with the seller.
The price, duration, scope, and usage limits of a paid plan are shown before purchase. Auto-renewable subscriptions renew unless canceled in accordance with the relevant store's terms. You can manage your subscription in the subscription settings of your Apple App Store or Google Play account. Follow the store's stated cancellation deadline to stop renewal. If a free trial is offered, the start of billing and cancellation conditions are shown on the purchase screen.
Deleting the app or your SmartShopper account does not automatically cancel your store subscription. Refund requests are handled under the relevant store's procedures and mandatory consumer rights. Free features and limits may change; rights already acquired for a paid subscription period are preserved.
You must not use the service unlawfully, access another person's account without authorization, bypass security measures or usage limits, submit harmful content, or place excessive load on the service. The app's software, design, and content belonging to us or our licensors are protected by intellectual property rights and must not be copied or distributed without permission, except where permitted by law. You retain your rights to content you add and permit its processing to provide the features you select and share it with people you authorize.
Access may be restricted where necessary and proportionate in response to a security threat, misuse, or a serious breach of these terms. Where possible, we will explain the reason. You may submit an objection to our contact address.
Communication between the app and its servers, and certain features, may be temporarily interrupted or restricted due to scheduled maintenance, software updates, technical failures, security incidents, internet connectivity issues, or problems with third-party services. During these periods, login, receipt scanning, synchronization, and notifications may be delayed or unavailable.
Uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed. We make reasonable efforts to resolve interruptions; emergency security measures may be implemented without advance notice. This provision does not remove mandatory service, data protection, or consumer obligations.
Keep the originals of important documents and your own backups. Do not rely solely on synchronization or notifications to track payment, warranty, or return deadlines. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for indirect losses that could not reasonably have been foreseen is limited. Liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury, and other liability that cannot lawfully be limited, as well as consumers' non-waivable rights, remains unaffected.
The processing of personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy. Accepting these terms does not replace separate permissions required for optional data processing. You can delete your account from the Profile section of the app or the web account deletion page. The way to request deletion of specific data without closing your account is explained in the Privacy Policy's data deletion section.
These terms may be updated to reflect changes to the service or applicable law. You can check the current terms and their version in the app and on our website. Changes that materially affect your rights and obligations will be communicated appropriately, and renewed acceptance will be requested where necessary. Where notice and acceptance are required, continued use alone does not constitute acceptance. Changes that retroactively remove mandatory consumer rights will not apply.
